Groton Wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill from Bharat Parmar Photography

Winter weddings are definitely some of the most spectacular. Everywhere you turn, it seems the whole world has dressed up for the big occasion, as if it is trying to mirror the Bride’s radiance in lacy icicles and a shimmery white blanket of snow. And the wintry wonderland that is this wedding from Bharat Parmar Photography is the perfect illustration of such beauty. Amidst a gorgeous snowfall outside, The Barn at Gibbet Hill made great refuge for these guests with its warmth, rustic wooden interior and those wonderfully elegant chandeliers. From the Bride… Dave and I met in middle school and have been best friends our whole life. We started dating in January our senior year of college, had our daughter Olivia in October of 2009, got engaged in January of 2010, and decided January 2011 would be the perfect time for our winter wedding! We fell in love with the idea of a barn wedding because of the natural character the barn has, and when we saw The Barn at Gibbet Hill, we knew it was the place we had always dreamed of. The ambiance and food made everyone feel right at home. We were lucky enough to have a snowstorm blow through days before the wedding, covering the entire field with fresh white powder, and minutes after our ceremony, a light snow sprinkled down, allowing our photographer to catch some amazing shots in the snow!  I always love the idea of a DIY project and created mostly everything in the wedding: the invitations, decor, table numbers, card holder, place cards, menu cards, candy/desert table, mason jar luminaries, etc. It has even sparked the creation of my business on Etsy
