Here at SMP, we are huge fans of the engagement session. Aside from being a nice practice run with your photographer, it is a way to capture a time in your lives where you are unbelievably happy and more than a little giddy. Our favorite is when the couple incorporates a little something that makes their engagement special. Like these two and Scrabble. He popped the question with some help from the game, so when they stepped in front of Craig Photography‘s camera, they knew they had to have a nod to Scrabble. Click here to see so, so much more.

From Craig Photography … Gorgeous sweet engagement session in autumn. Jasmine & Gabe wanted something snuggly and I had an old antique-wrought iron bed that I hadn’t had a chance to use yet for anything. So we rented a U-Haul and transported it to a local park. Jasmine’s grandmother quilted the quilt as soon as she heard Gabe proposed. The circles represent the marriage rings–entwined and never to be separated. When Gabe proposed he set up a whole scene with Scrabble letters, so Jasmine wanted to incorporate that element in the shoot, which you can see in the xoxo banner and the I love U letters.
I also happen to be a big fan of Emily Bronte and had an idea to right one of my favorite quotes onto a piece of paper and rip it off and hang it by a branch. That’s my favorite quote of all time of Emily’s.
