Boston Wedding from Kelly Dillon Photography

I was lucky enough to spend this past weekend with two great friends who have just moved up to Boston. I had never been there before and while my husband and I discussed our favorite neighborhoods of the beautiful, historic city we visited during our stay, we both agreed that South End topped them all. And this wedding from Kelly Dillon Photography shows exactly why this charming little neighborhood made such a fond impression on us. Perfectly traditional with a flair for the gorgeous, one word to describe this whole wedding would be captivating. And you can see it all in the gallery right here.

From the Bride… Chris and I both moved to New England to attend Northeastern University. We met when I was a freshman and Chris a junior. We fell in love with Boston and have made the city our home. Both our families are spread across the continent, so it made the most sense to have our wedding here. It was extra special to us to share “our” city with our family and friends. We chose to marry in the large cathedral in our South End neighborhood, taking pictures in front of our home and celebrating with sunset cocktails over the Boston harbor. My vision for the wedding was to keep it clean and contemporary, using a simple color palette and modern typefaces. I chose to do groupings of single flowers in green and white, including hydrangea, roses, lilies, and bells of Ireland as a nod to Chris’ heritage. Overall, the entire day was a beautiful success, and I could not have asked for anything more.
