From Ashley Rhodes Events… Brooke and Jeffery, high school sweethearts, set their Lowcountry wedding along the Okatie River on the grounds of the historic Oldfield Plantation. The couple started their day in private plantation cottages, where they spent time with childhood friends and family before a wedding in their home church in quaint Ridgeland, South Carolina. Brooke and Jeffery wanted their guests to feel as if they were “coming over for dinner” after the ceremony. They utilized the historic plantation home, its porches and lawn to host a buffet-style, southern dinner, complete with sweet tea, before dancing the night away with family and friends. At the evening’s close, they drove away (open air) under the starry Lowcountry sky.
