Election Day is almost upon us and to celebrate we have an Election Themed Shoot that totally gets our vote. Pun completely intended. Photographed by Theo Milo along with the cutest Political infused details by come+together events and The Bloom Room, this a theme that will completely convert you and possibly have you planning your very own Election Themed affair. Whether that be a great excuse for a dinner party complete with I Voted stickers or a full blown wedding day extravaganza there is loads to borrow from this shoot. See it all right here and then hunker down for even more inspiration with a film shot by David Whitlow below.
From come+together events… While sitting on a plane on the way from Charlotte to Boston, I was brainstorming this inspiration shoot and how to come up with something new and original–and TIMELY! I looked around at everyone’s iPads and newspapers, and the #1 story I saw spread across the headlines was about the presidential election. Bam! A presidential election wedding-themed shoot. From “First Lady” chair signs to campaign buttons with the couple’s last names on them, we thought of every detail to incorporate the political process into a wedding. Guests could choose to sit on the “left wing” or the “right wing” of the ceremony and sign their “John Hancock” for the guest book. The menus resembled the paper that the Constitution is written upon. The seating chart hung from a hand-made yarn map of the USA, and there was even a photo booth with all sorts of props reading things such as “no recounts.” The bride and groom looked fresh but traditional, and the Duke Mansion was the perfect set up for a president and his new first lady.
