Morro Bay Wedding from Lisa Dolan Photography

We're total suckers for elopements around these parts! Sure, we love all pretty, little details that go along with traditional fetes, but there's just something so romantic about running away to the beach with your one and only. And when Lisa Dolan Photography happens to capture it all on film? Well, that just makes it even more magical. Click here for more.

From Lisa Dolan Photography... Chip and Laura decided to get married last spring, but they wanted something completely unique and intimate. They both value simplicity, so the idea of eloping really struck a chord with them. The couple spent months trying to find the perfect location for their beach wedding and finally settled on Morro Bay, just north of San Luis Obispo. The day before the wedding, they went to San Luis Obispo to get their marriage license, and afterward they had a fun afternoon in Paso Robles at a local winery. The day of the wedding was incredibly relaxed and fun. It began with a trip to the local flower shop to purchase flowers for Laura's bouquet and Chip's boutonniere (both of which Laura made herself!). Once Chip and Laura were dressed and ready, we wandered around downtown Morro Bay for photographs — and a run in with the town pirate, "Pirate Steve" — and then over to Morro Bay State Park. The ceremony took place on the beach just in front of Morro Rock at sunset. The couple then celebrated with wine on the beach as a few locals cheered. All of the images were photographed in film.
