From the Bride... When we started to plan our wedding, there were a couple of words that kept popping up: intimate, relaxed and FUN. Although we still wanted the day to have formality and feel like special, it was important to us that the day represented us and not what what was expected of a wedding. We chose to have our ceremony and reception at The Gunners' Barracks as it had everything we were looking for: a beautiful building, a spectacular view and amazing food. Our style was simple and elegant. I wore a Karen Willis Holmes dress featuring a bow on the front, a Johanna Johnson head piece and Melissa ballets flats featuring Swarovski crystals. The bridesmaids wore dresses from Coast. The groom and groomsmen wore cufflinks that were unique to them. The ceremony was held in the sandstone courtyard with paper pom poms hanging above. Our guests went crazy for the lolly buffet and photo booth that kept them entertained between meal service and speeches. At the end of the night, our guests held sparklers for us as we left.
