An afternoon stroll for two is exactly what a couple would do on an ordinary Sunday. Except this adorable couple is anything but ordinary, with their stylish outfits and charming smiles! From León Images… Zeynep and Mike met and started dating while they were both attending grad school in Sweden. Mike eventually got a job in New York, and Zeynep moved back to her home in Istanbul. Despite their vast geographical distance, they stayed together. Zeynep eventually joined Mike in New York, and now they are happily engaged. The two made their home in Brooklyn, so it seemed like a natural fit to have the engagement shoot in DUMBO. We knew that the location had to have somewhat of a city feel for this cosmopolitan couple. The cobblestone streets, iconic bridges, waterfront, charming shops and restaurants were all elements that inspired the couple. I also love DUMBO because the neighborhood is very urban but lacks crowded sidewalks and busy streets, allowing couples to relax, be comfortable and really get into a day of shooting. The resulting photos perfectly captured Mike and Zeynep’s cross-continental love story.
