As a girl who was wed outside of a big brown barn three years ago, weddings at the farm hold a super special place in my heart. They can feel so sweet and casual while still being gorgeous and timeless, and the night sky over a big, red barn is absolutely breathtaking. So when this gorgeous wedding from Hendrickson Photography Weddings landed in my lap, it was a race to get it on the calendar and share it with you. It’s just that special. Special enough to block out a few moments dancing away in the gallery, I’d say!

From Hendrickson Photography Weddings … Lindsay and John met in Vermont, “John and I meet at Middlebury College as undergraduate students. After seven years of dating (and living in several different cities and a few countries), we got engaged at the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park during a summer vacation. While not entirely a surprise, it was great!”.
This was the perfect Vermont summer wedding, held at the Inn at Mountain View Farms. The ceremony site was a short walk up to a breathtaking spot with views of the Willoughby Gap and surrounding mountains. There was live music as guests walked up to the site. After the ceremony everyone walked down past the majestic barns, gardens, and animal sanctuary for outdoor cocktail hour. The setting is stunning, with views in all directions and larger than life barns – the clock barn is especially interesting.
Once inside the tables are spread throughout the barn, some situated in cozy stalls. The dance floor and bar area are adjacent and it was easy to mingle between the two locations.
