From the Bride-to-Be... We carefully selected the engagement shoot site as a way to relive a very special memory of what was then a budding romance and courtship. During the first year of our relationship, we dated long-distance, and for one of our monthly special visits we ventured into a magical place called Knights Ferry. It is one of the most picturesque places we've ever been to; the landscape was drenched in sunlight, wildflowers, trees, grassy hills, streams of water and fresh air. We had an amazing time picnicking, discovering a special spot by the river, walking through the covered drawbridge, and ... sharing our first kiss! That day was absolutely ideal, and we were a bit nervous to go back because we didn't want to distort such a picture-perfect memory. But we couldn't think of a better place to have our engagement shoot, so just had to go back! Once we stepped foot into the grassy fields, we were immediately welcomed by the spring air and fluttering leaves — we felt like we had never left our romantic picnic from three years past.
We chose a theme of hearts because we love what the shape represents, and we like drawing them on love notes to one another. We kept the props minimal in order to highlight the focus of the photo shoot: love! Our photographer, Delbarr Moradi, did such a great job of balancing the beauty of the landscape while still focusing on us. We aren't sure when we'll go back to Knights Ferry, but I'm sure the third time around will be even more magical and memorable than ever.
