This wedding. Oh this wedding. Let’s just say I love it. Like really love it. It’s chic yet sweet, runway meets aisle, and the result is pure perfection. It all unfolds via the lens of Lina Arvidsson leaving all of us SMPers with a feature that is just be-yond. It’s style defined with a side of serious sweetness, and really it doesn’t get better than that. See so much more of this stylish soiree right here.
From the Bride… I had the luxury of being on leave from work when Shahab had a job in the states for a couple of months. I planned most of our wedding from there. We didn’t want our wedding to turn out stiff and boring, so we decided to have a circus theme to make it more fun. I bought giant balloons, striped straws, baking cups for cupcakes, candy bags and fun accessories for the photo booth. I got help from my bridesmaid Fredrik when making place cards and all the pompoms for the decorations. It’s very easy to get carried away with all the details, so I decided to keep it on a level where I had fun doing it so it wouldn’t feel like a burden. I think that is a good tip!
Shahab and I love hamburgers, and we wanted a couple of favorites from our time spent in USA. So we decided on serving a buffet with different burgers, mac ‘n’ cheese and other simple dishes made of good quality food with a twist. We also made a specially-brewed beer for the night, and the guests really liked that personal touch. Instead of a wedding cake, we decided to serve cupcakes. We also had a photo booth with fun accessories and a candy buffet to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere that went well with our theme. To kick off the party, we hired a guy to perform a fire show, and that was really appreciated among the guests!
Our day was magical — it went too fast! It felt very nice to have all our family and friends gathered around us and seeing them having fun. It was almost surreal, and it was hard to take in all at once. We are so happy we decided to document the day with a photographer — now we can look back at our happy moments again!
