There is no other way to describe this wedding than that it is an utter dream. Fantastically alone on a remote island, these two lovelies were wed with their greatest friends as the only two witnesses and celebrated in the most intimate of fashions. Even more, this party ended with a quick little dip in the ocean, gown included, that made for just the prettiest of images by Lisa Michele Burns. From Lisa Michele Burns... Heidi and Mahn wanted a relaxed, casual beach wedding with their two best friends present as witnesses and not a whole lot of fuss. They chose the amazing white sandy beach of Whitehaven in the Whitsunday Islands of Queensland, a beach only accessible by boat, seaplane or helicopter. Heidi planned and designed every little detail for the wedding herself, and despite having just two guests, she ensured the reception dinner was perfectly decorated with candles in scallop shells and starfish on the balcony that over looked the Coral Sea at sunset. Arriving in separate helicopters, Mahn greeted Heidi on Whitehaven, and they walked down the aisle together. The party then enjoyed post-ceremony drinks on the sand and an impromptu dip in the ocean, wedding dress and all. After a helicopter flight back to the mainland (Airlie Beach), Heidi and Mahn had requested photographs in the sugar cane fields, and we were lucky enough to have amazing light just before sunset for these shots.
