Napa Wedding at The Carneros Inn from Trent Bailey Photography

For a little girl who dreamt of one day marrying her love in Napa, living out her childhood dream at The Carneros Inn must have been a pinch-me moment. And to have it lived out in such a way that's all at once classic with an organic California twist. That infusion of West Coast cool is thanks in part to Julie Stevens Designs and her organic take on wedding day florals and images by Trent & Dara of Trent Bailey Photography that are as gorgeous and golden as the landscape where the Bride and Groom said I do. From the Bride... I remember being at a family wedding when I was in eighth grade and looking at my dad and telling him, “Dad, when I get married, I want to do it in Napa, California.” Being as I am from Louisiana and had never yet been to Napa, this was quite the request. As things worked out, I ended up falling in love with Court, who is from northern California, and knowing I always wanted to get married in Napa, he proposed to me at the Carneros Inn on Valentine’s Day. We looked at places all over Napa and Sonoma, but nothing compared to the Carneros, especially since it had such sentimental value attached to it. It truly is the most beautiful place and a dream come true to a little girl from south Louisiana.

Planning from across the country was a breeze with Brooke, along with everyone else involved. I wanted Southern, rustic charm with wooden crates, baby’s breath, mason jars and candles. Everything turned out more beautiful than I could’ve ever imagined, and Julie Stevens even added apples from the apple orchard to our floral arrangements because the orchard is where the ceremony took place. I was fortunate enough to have my good friend Trent and his wife, Dara, of Trent Bailey Photography, capture the day in photos. They did an amazing job, as I knew they would, and I will forever be grateful to them for giving me the memory of this day in photographs forever. Everyone I run into mentions the pictures and how truly incredible the Carneros was as a backdrop for our wedding. It’s a decision I had deep in my heart from a young age, and one I’ll never regret. I told Trent that photography was the most important aspect to me about this wedding because everyone tells you that you won’t remember much from the day due to all of the excitement. And while it’s true that I am so thankful to Trent for beautifully capturing the little details that I surely wouldn’t have remembered — the gorgeous light from the candles in the mason jars, or my father putting his wedding ring on my thumb during our father-daughter dance (it was his father’s ring; my beloved grandfather who has passed away) — I will never forget the gorgeous weekend in Napa, at the breathtaking Carneros Inn with everyone I love present. I am the luckiest girl in the entire world.
