Palm Springs Wedding from Jesse Leake Photography + Artisan Event Floral Décor, LLC

The Parker Palm Springs has a certain air of Old Hollywood to it that gets us every time. We can’t resist a gorgeous soiree thrown at the venue – and when Artisan Event Floral Décor, LLC is behind the floral + event design, it’s over. We’ve totally lost our cool admiration and have jumped to number one fan status, thanks especially to Jesse Leake Photography‘s gorgeous take on the day. Care to join us in our somewhat unflattering, but completely justified adoration? Click here for more!

From the groom … We considered various locations for our wedding. We went to Napa, toured several venues in San Francisco, visited Cabo San Lucas, and Santa Barbara. The problem was that none of these places seemed to be the best reflection of our individual style and preferences. We struggled envisioning our friends and family connecting with those locations. When we visited Palm Springs we fell in love the ease of access and the old California style. The weather is fantastic, the pace is easy and it offered a casual venue to bring people together to enjoy a weekend of family, fun, and new beginnings.

From Artisan Events Floral Decor, LLC … I met Maria Peevey (CEO of SimplyShe) and Craig McLaughlin (CEO of extractable.com) both of San Francisco, Ca., as they were planning their wedding at The Parker Palm Springs. We meet a few months before their wedding date and Maria was concerned that we didn’t have that much time to accomplish everything… “no worries this will be a blast!” Rehearsal dinner “ Old Hollywood Glam” stylized Cocktail party, a wedding day rich with color and a casual brunch the day after at the Autry Estate. Colors of blush, black, white and splashes of hot pink. Flowers as art! Creative and stylized… “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” meets The Parker Palm Springs!

The weekend began with custom created gift bags delivered to each guest room. Welcome to Palm Springs!

The Rehearsal dinner set in the large back yard of the Autry Estate an “Old Hollywood Glam” feel, guests attire was glitz and glam. “Blue Martini” centerpieces, created in martini glasses with exploding white callas and a floral olive and then finally illuminated from the base… super cool with a contemporary fun feel. A giant movie screen “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” playing in the background, (that was easy) a stage with a white baby grand piano and the incredible Kim Nally who performed great jazz and blues and even a number from Lionel Richie (the couples favorite). A menu created especially for Maria and Craig with everything scrumptious morsel served in martini glasses, a night set to the backdrop of the amazing San Jacinto mountain range under the stars and a full moon!

There ceremony was set on the crocket lawn, with the spectacular mountains of Palm Springs as the backdrop. Maria and Craig stood facing the olive tree with crystal chandeliers hung from the branches, white chivari chairs with black and white stripe cushions, parasols in robin eggs blue and cones with hot pink rose petals that were tossed as they recessed as the Vitamin String Quartet played “Here Come’s the Sun” A fun cocktail hour in the “Palm Court” complete with black crystal chandeliers strung between the palm trees. Stepping through the Moroccan door into an enchanted garden, string lights, white crystal chandeliers and tables adorned with black and white striped linens, robin eggs blue napkin’s, crystal napkin rings, white Moroccan lanterns and flowers of hot pink peony’s, ranunculus, white finials stuffed with hot pink tea roses. A highlight of the evening was a performance by Men at Work’s lead singer, Colin Hay. His performance was a surprise from Maria to Craig. Colin performed an un plugged version of his concert, and of course his hit song, Land Down Under… AMAZING!

The foyer of the ballroom was transformed into a lounge with white leather furniture, shag carpets, up lighting in hot pink and draped walls of black and white fabric… super chic. “LOVE” titled that with the glowing letters highlighted the desert table where delicious deserts from “Sweet and Saucy” created quite a selection of macaroons to cookies for the guests to graze on…

The weekend concluded with a brunch on the lawn of the Autry Estate… omelets created to order, Parker style, Mimosa and Bloody Mary’s were the call of the morning. An acoustic guitar played smooth sounds and guests were given a departing gift. Just to show you the generosity of this couple.

It was a complete blast escorting Maria and Craig through all the precious moments of this amazing weekend.
