When a middle school orchestra teacher and a graphic designer plan a walk down the aisle, you know two things are certainly making an appearance; great music and fabulous paper goods. Done and done. This gorgeous teacher procured music accompaniment from friends and students for the ceremony and a local swing band for the reception while her graphically inclined Hubs crafted every last paper good. That’s what you call a dream team. You can see the rest of this gem captured by Lisa Dolan Photography, right here in the gallery.
From Lisa Dolan Photography… Jacquie and Patrick’s wedding was all about having fun and celebrating the couple’s cheerful and eclectic personalities. The day was filled with amazing music and creative design. Jacquie is a middle school orchestra teacher, so the music was especially important on her wedding day. The ceremony featured music from friends and students, and the reception featured a local swing band. Patrick is an amazing graphic designer who designed all of the paper details and letterpress invitations. The brides shoes were her something blue — with sweet, handwritten notes from all her bridesmaids and family (and dog!) written in blue ink on the bottom. After the ceremony, the wedding party traveled downtown to a local soda fountain for drinks and photos, followed by a stop at the Serra sculpture in downtown’s City Garden. The reception took place at the Top of the Met, an amazing venue on the 42nd floor of the Metropolitan Square Building, which overlooks the entire city. The table names at the reception were named after famous superheros or famous musicians! For dessert, a choice of wedding cake or pie was served to guests, and coffee in the couple’s custom packaging was given out as a favor.
