From A Guy & A Girl Weddings… Tim and Brittany Dowd had their charming outdoor ceremony and reception at The Dallas Arboretum this summer during the Dale Chihuly blown glass exhibit. The bride got her hair and makeup done at the Michael Flores Salon at Neiman Marcus while the groomsmen went to a nearby salon to get their eyebrows waxed and presentable! Brittany’s dress was purchased at the Bridal Boutique in Lewisville, and her shoes were adorned with feather and jewel clips found on Etsy. Some of the groomsmen were proudly wearing Air Force and Navy dress uniforms. The decorations for the reception included candles wrapped in lace and ribbon, surrounded by succulents and bouquets of pink and yellow pastel peonies and succulents. When the sun went down, the bride and groom shared their first dance under the romantic canopy of outdoor lights strung from tree to tree. They left the venue in a shower of rose petals and cheers to enjoy their honeymoon in the Caribbean.
