Some of my favorite weddings to attend are those that feel like an intimate dinner party. Where the ceremony makes me sob (ok that’s every wedding), where the wine flows and conversation is easy, where even though the guest count may be high you still feel cozy under twinkling lights and the soft glow of candlelight – and most of all when you can feel how much it means to the new couple to be a part of their special day. That’s exactly the feeling I get from just looking at this gorgeous wedding. Perhaps it’s the amazing images from Amy and Stuart Photography, but I have a hunch that this was one special party to be a part of…see SO much more here.
From Amy and Stuart Photography… For their wedding, Lindsay and Oren wanted to create an intimate and timeless affair, something that all their guests would appreciate and they could look back on with enduring happiness. And that is exactly what their wedding day was. The newly-remodeled Hotel Bel Air was the perfect backdrop for a classic and elegant wedding. Guests were greeted with pre-ceremony drinks enjoyed under hanging glass bulbs filled with rose heads. The stunning Swan Lake was accented by scattered rose heads, blushing jasmine vines and a floral chuppah that looked like it grew in the garden and belonged in the space. Since their wedding took place on Cinco de Mayo, an all-female mariachi group serenaded the guests during the cocktail reception. Little details were sprinkled throughout the evening, from the monogrammed matchbooks accompanying a box of cigars, cocktail napkins and handwritten notes to each guest in their escort card. The ballroom was decorated with soft flowers and accented with glowing lighting. Menu cards were tucked into each napkin and tied with a fragrant magnolia. Guests were treated to a delicious dinner, followed by a decadent dessert station. Along with creating a memorable and chic evening, Lindsay and Oren wanted an amazing party and for all their guests to have fun. A fabulous band had guests dancing well into the night. And as everyone departed, they took home a piece of wedding cake for a sweet end to an absolutely perfect night.
