Uniting the créme de la créme of the wedding industry, the showcase featured the industry's elite as they joined together to share resources, fresh ideas and a mutual love for the wedding industry {aaah, heaven indeed}. Lucky for us, we can act as a fly on the wall thanks to Ryder Evans Photography and the picture paradise that awaits in the full gallery.

From Ryder Evans Photography... July 20 and 21 saw the first ever Byron Bay Bridal Showcase come to life. Set in the picturesque, tree-lined William Flick Lane, charming Ewingsdale Hall was transformed into a haven of gorgeous wedding inspiration. Founder Jennifer Gifford was determined for the showcase to shy away from the typical "expo format" by teaming like-minded, passionate and creative vendors together to showcase their work in three styled spaces: "bohemian," "vintage" and "romantic." The result was a visual feast of color, texture and breathtaking details showcasing how a real wedding could be styled in these themes.
Love Bird Weddings (stylist), Beautiflora (florist), With Love Fine Wedding Stationery (stationery) and Just Love to Give (sweets supplier) formed Team Bohemian. A color palette of natural rustic woods was teamed with apricots, peaches and creams for a soft romantic feel and set off with bold shades of cranberry, red wine and burgundy. The team envisioned a relaxed, intimate, homey setting, which was achieved with the use of a gorgeous dresser where the bride would get ready, kitchen hutch complete with desserts and bespoke bridal table. The bridal table was the focal point of the area, adorned with an abundance of beautiful mismatched vessels and blooms, individual place settings and menus and set off by a gorgeous lighting fixture by North Coast Events. The Vintage team consisted of Little Gray Station (stylist/furniture prop hire), Elyssium Blooms (florist), Paper Dolls (stationer) and Rebellyous Cakes (cake decorator). In order to incorporate as much detail as possible, Team Vintage’s space included a bridal table (complete with a stunning hanging ladder light installation by North Coast Events) and ceremony setup with 300 handmade paper flowers, guest book table and cake and sweets table. A base color palette of lavender blue and red apple was chosen and paired with intricate doilies, kraft and soft details. Brides and grooms were welcome to sample the cake by Rebellyous Cakes. The Romantic styled area by Imbue Weddings (stylist and florist), Wolley (stationer) and The Cake that Ate Paris (cake decorator) was soft and feminine with a touch of whimsy. Working with a color palette of neutrals, metallics, soft lilac and purples, Team Romantic incorporated a bridal table setup, gorgeous seating area and cake table where couples could sample wedding cake and cake pops. For additional wow factor, a fabulous chalkboard installation by Blackboard Artworx was installed. Again, North Coast Events provided the lighting to finish the look.
In addition to the styled spaces, in keeping with each theme, framed images by NGG Studios, Down Bangalow Road and Shane Shepherd Photography, adorned the wall spaces in each area. Matt Barwick’s amazing feature wedding films were on high rotation on a large plasma screen, complete with headphones so couples could completely lose themselves in the experience. Beauty experts Wedding Hair by Leah, Rococo Makeup Artistry and Amanda Higl provided airbrushing, hair and makeup demonstrations. Eat Drink Catering treated brides and grooms to delicious tastings of their Moroccan tagines. Couples were entertained by some of the best local musicians – soulful Mick’s Sashimi Band, the pretty vocal stylings of Eliza Dear and Miss Renee Simone, blues and jazz band CBD Dub, and relaxed tunes from Tim Stokes all added to the relaxed and inviting atmosphere of the event. Outside the hall, a bar and ceremony area, styled by Little Gray Station, set the tone beautifully for the event. Guests could sit outside and soak up the sun while indulging in a hot beverage from Grind Date Coffee, purchase hand-tied flowers from the flower stall by Imbue Weddings or have a little fun in the film photo booth by NGG Studios. Adjacent to the hall lies Ewingsdale Church, where celebrants Marg Walgers, Chiquita Mitchell and Zenith Vigaro were on hand to provide ceremony advice to couples. Couples were treated to a fashion parade on both days with stunning ready to wear gowns by Jennifer Gifford, handsome suits by Will Valor and hair accessories by Kristi Bonnici. Plans are already in place for next year's showcase!
