If I had to pick my number one choice for the perfect marrying spot, it would be France. Hands down. And I’m talking the whole country, Paris to Provence and any and all spots in between. That leaves a lot of dreamy possibilities. Take for instance an affair held at Mas Saint Joseph near Arles. It’s the definition of simple elegance with personalized details by Lucy Till woven throughout and images by Xavier Navarro Photographie that capture all those details impeccably. You can see it all unfold right here.
From the Bride… The important elements of our wedding were music and dancing! My parents are musicians and I used to be a dancer, so I love to dance (as do most of my friends and family). Food was also important, as the wedding was one of the first times our US friends and family got to experience Provencal cooking. A lot of this event was about sharing our French family, friends and lifestyle with our American friends and family. Decorations were also very important. We tried to put a lot of personal touches in everything. Because I am Japanese, we incorporated paper cranes in our centerpieces and had some hanging from trees. We are also included a DIY photo booth so our friends can take some goofy photos of themselves with props.
I make fun of it all the time, but I love Arnaud’s accent. I also found that he is quite mature for his age (I attribute this to the fact that he is NOT an American), and he is always open to trying new things – when we met he was just learning how to kite surf. He carries himself with a cool confidence but is never cocky and has a deeply soulful, sensitive side. We also share the same taste in music, which is extremely important to me as I am a music fanatic ! And yes, I love those little dimples he gets when he smiles.
From the Groom… I met Lani a few months after moving to San Diego. I remember being really impressed by this girl who seemed really mature and independent and wanted a career in NYC. But on the flip side, she is this social butterfly who loves to dance and party with all of her friends. She is awesome, we share the same passions, she makes me laugh, and she gets me.
