I’m in love with this idea. It’s a wedding trailer (from the fabulous Jensen Wedding Films, no less) that features the groom’s first peek at the bride’s dress. And then they run around and play together – totally in love. It’s enough to make your heart soar this Saturday morning!

Music is a big part of both of our lives, so naturally it is what brought us together. Tom grew up playing piano; I grew up singing. During college at BYU, I joined a talented women’s A cappella performance group: “Noteworthy,” which competed in CBS’s The Sing-Off. Tom and I met when he was playing keyboard in a band and they needed back-up singers. One of my friends (whose brothers were also in the band) asked me to sing backups with her. At that time we met but not much happened romantically. I took a semester off from school not long after and stopped singing backups in the band. A year later that same friend told me there was a country band that also needed backup singers so I agreed to sing, and once again music brought us together. Tom was playing piano in this band as well. This time we quickly found interest in one another. I was only in the band for a short time, but it was enough time for him to get my number and ask me on a date. After that, we were inseparable. We spent every day together and fell in love.
One thing you must also know is that Disneyland is also a big part of our lives. He grew up in southern California pretty close to it and my family has always LOVED going. It’s sort of an obsession you could say. So of course it was only right that after we realized we wanted to be married a few months later, we took a trip to Disneyland where he surprisingly proposed by the Snow White wishing well, where it was just the two of us.
As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon Church), we both grew up knowing that we wanted to be married in an LDS Temple. Our faith is very important to us and there was really never any other option in our minds. We believe that when you are married in a temple you are married forever, even after death, which was very important to us as well. With that, we decided on the Sacramento, CA, LDS Temple because it is where I grew up and a place I have really grown to love. It is a beautiful place.
I started off knowing that I wanted Navy Blue to be a part of the color scheme and from there I researched different color pallets that would go with that. Since it was a summer wedding I went with Navy, Yellow, and Ivory. After looking at many magazines and internet sites I fell in love with the “vintage country” style and ran with it. It turned out really well and I absolutely loved the end product!
We both were just so happy to be with our families and friends to share this special day. We will never forget our beautiful ceremony where our closest friends and family were able to see us be married. Our reception was so fun and turned out so beautifully and I will never forget dancing with my husband for the very first time. A lot of the day is a bit of a blur because it all went by so quickly, but it was great to slow down and just get to dance with each other for a few minutes.
