Camarillo Wedding from He & She Photography

He & She Photography always brings us winners. And this pretty little number falls nicely into that category. It has all the ingredients of wedding goodness we love, love, love at SMP with one fabulous ceremony backdrop added in for good measure. I’m pretty sure the DIY oversized flowers will make your heart flutter, and really, so will everything else sitting pretty in the full gallery of images!

From the Bride… We had so much fun planning our wedding! We wanted the process to be as stress-free as possible, so we started planning a year before our wedding and slowly crossed things off the list every month. Although the day was about us, it was really important for our guests to be comfortable, have fun and to leave with full bellies.

Craig and I met at Trader Joe’s, so our main focus was on great food, drinks and desserts. Our caterer was amazing and all of our foodie guests were delighted with the quality and selection. We bought all of the alcohol for the bar and all of the cheeses served at the cocktail hour from Trader Joe’s. Our baker incorporated Trader Joe’s products into our desserts, and our signature drink was vodka and Trader Joe’s sparkling cranberry juice. In sticking with the food theme, our favors included hand-stamped kitchen towels and stainless steel measuring spoons that included a “Recipe for Love.” Our tables were also named after our favorite restaurants.

The giant tissue paper flowers were inspired by a post I had seen on Ruche. They worked perfectly with our venue because the site had some really breathtaking landscaping and flowers. The stems were made with stucco corner, wire, cement and Solo cups, while the flowers were made with layers and layers of tissue paper and dried moss. They were, by far, our biggest “labor of love,” and they were a huge hit! We wanted everything to be as personalized as possible, so we purchased a lot of our things online at Etsy and were blessed with the help of our family and friends for our handmade programs and chalkboard signs.

Savor and enjoy every moment of your wedding day! Remember to stop every once in a while and take everything in. If something doesn’t go according to plan, your guests probably won’t even notice, so remember to have fun and focus on each other!
