A barn wedding that is all at once rustic and ever so elegant is no small feat. It takes a special combination of amazing design geniuses like XOXO BRIDE and Blue Magnolia Floral & Event Design and a cozy spot like Rancho Dos Pueblos in Santa Barbara to really bring this idea to fruition. Yellow details galore and rustic elements like wedding carts and s’mores all mixed with the glamour of the Bride’s Pnina Tornai dress make for a wedding so easy on the eyes. Captured by AltF Photography, there is even more to be had in the full gallery. See it here.
From XOXO BRIDE… What a fun couple! Chris and Amy have such great personalities and positive energy that we wanted to infuse that into their wedding design. The color palette of bright yellow, cream, white and steel gray worked so well against the already-magical backdrop of Rancho Dos Pueblos. I wanted to give them some playful elements to their event as well, so we decided to have them ride Surrey bikes after the ceremony to the beach for photos. We specifically choose to mix and match the linens and napkins to give a playful but elegant mood inside the barn for dinner. The Cielo Blanco Collection of white furniture from Town & Country Event Rentals was eye-catching under a heaven of yellow paper lanterns. I love to place furniture where it really shouldn’t be, and the juxtaposition is beautifully translated here.
Kerstin of Blue Magnolia Events provides the amazing floral designs. Amy’s bouquet was stunning and complemented but did not overpower her wedding dress. The pops of yellow were perfectly directed to evoke happiness. Kerstin’s personal collection of wood crates, boxes and vintage bottles gave a harmonious balance to our vintage-to-glam theme. Her eye and attention to detail is impeccable. Santa Barbara Gourmet Catering, as usual, wowed the guests’ palates with their stunning presentation of food and beverage. Their level of service is so superior it’s hard not to go back for seconds! They hand-made and individually packaged Amy and Chris’s personalized, stickered s’mores treats, which guests roasted by the fire late into the night. Finger-licking good fun! And finally, the dynamic duo of AltF Photography freshly captured Amy and Chris’s wedding by infusing the bride and groom’s natural photogenic style, the beauty of the location, the mood of the day and the perfection in all our details.
