Australia Wedding from Studio Impressions Photography

Let me start off by saying I wanted to fill this feature with each and every image Studio Impressions Photography sent our way. I could have, because each image is worthy of the spotlight, but thankfully that means one seriously stunning full gallery of images for you to pore over today. It’s full of this Bride and her gorgeous Jenny Packham gown, her dapper hubby and every stylish detail they weaved into their special day, and it will all leave you wanting more. Lucky for all of us, there is so much more…right here.

From the Bride… We are both from the same city in Australia, but we actually met in London through friends about a decade ago, then crossed paths again in Hong Kong seven years later. I think the thing we probably love most is how much fun we have together. Ben proposed in London, the city in which we’d met, at my favorite place in the whole city: beautiful St. James Park. It was simple, sweet and in a place that meant something to me, so it was perfect.

The stunning Montville landscape really lent itself to a country-style wedding, so we definitely wanted to keep elements that reflected laid-back country style, such as rustic furniture and unstructured florals, but we also wanted it to be formal at the same time, being black tie and so forth. We have quite different styles — Ben is more elegant and I am more bohemian, so we wanted to find a middle ground that reflected both of us. Our guests traveled in from everywhere! We live in Hong Kong, so all of our friends came over from there, and we had people from the UK, USA and from all over Australia. It was really was such a huge effort from everyone.

We loved the gorgeous styling by Trudy Croad of Love Bird Weddings. She really went above and beyond and was with us every step of the way, despite us changing our minds every five minutes during the planning process! The team at Spicers was excellent, and in fact, all of the suppliers all did such a great job. Marcus is an artist, and every image he captures has such a dreamy romance about it. We loved everything about our photographs, particularly the candidness of so many of them. We cannot recommend him highly enough. A really fun part of the day was when Marcus took Ben and I and our bridal party away to take pictures around the property. We were on such a high and it was really special sharing that time with our dearest friends. Looking back at the pictures I think Marcus really captured the excitement and fun so perfectly.  The speeches were also hysterical, and the MC’s wedding poem in particular was a highlight.

My advice to other engaged couples: elope! Haha, not really, but if you can afford a planner or stylist it makes a big difference having them there on the day so you don’t have to worry about getting everything together.
