Melbourne Wedding from One Point Photography

Etherial, and seemingly effortless, these images by One Point Photography have seriously captured my heart. The bride's romantic + ultra-feminine gown by Melbourne designer Anna Campbell is almost too-good for words, especially paired with her amazing oversized bouquet by Northcote Flowers. You don't have to wake up from this lovely dream just yet 'cause the gallery is overflowing with inspiration!

From the Bride... In October 2010, after chats of marriage in the distant future, Will surprised me with a totally spontaneous proposal at the end of my sister's wedding. I guess he liked the look of me walking down the aisle as one of the bridesmaids! We set the date for November 2012, but sadly Will's father became ill, so we moved it forward to April 28, 2012. We both grew up in the country, so we wanted to find somewhere that made us forget we were living in Melbourne. We found this in the beautiful grounds of the Heide Museum of Modern Art. On the day, we were blessed with perfect sunny weather and were married in an intimate ceremony on the rolling lawns, beneath the trees — surrounded by our closest family and friends. The venue couldn't have been more perfect as the reception was held in the award-winning Cafe Vue de Monde, just a quick stroll from the ceremony site, where afterward, the guests were also able to enjoy a private viewing of the Heide Art Gallery.

Our wedding was inspired by my love of all things vintage. I designed the invitations myself with vintage prints in mind, and also the Heide. Our cars were 1940s vintage Jaguars from Jag Jaunts and complemented our theme brilliantly. My dress was designed by Anna Campbell and was made of softly flowing silk with beautiful beaded lace detail across the front and straps. The bridesmaids were also dressed by Anna Campbell and wore gorgeous navy and black cocktail dresses with lace details. I wanted them to feel as beautiful as I did, and they looked just stunning. The boys looked dapper in vintage-inspired morning suits and vests. The groomsmen wore black, and Will wore gray. It was all I could do to stop them having top-hats and sticks! We hired the suits from Spurlings Melbourne, but the ties were a gift from me. Our rings were made by Temelli Jewellery, and my plain white gold band complements my specially-made, art deco-inspired engagement ring. The girls and I had our hair done by Bouquet & Garter. I wanted a soft, wavy style and it was done perfectly, and the girls looked beautiful with braids. My natural-style makeup was also done by Bouquet & Garter. Our flowers were put together by Northcote Flowers and complemented our dresses and the boy's suits perfectly. My tear-drop bouquet included delicate orchids and was inspired by my mother's wedding bouquet. It was the most amazing day, ending with us all dancing under paper lanterns to the smooth tunes put together by our DJ and friend Ritchie. Thank you to Scott Kittelty from One Point Photography for capturing every moment.

Sadly, Will's father passed away only two months before our wedding, but we both know he was there in spirit and would have loved the whole day. The day wouldn't have been possible without our wonderful families, who contributed so much, and our friends who celebrated with us, and we thank them with all of our hearts.
