Rooftop weddings have one MAJOR advantage over all others and it goes by the name of holy gorgeous views. Honestly, you cannot beat a sunset ceremony overlooking the skyline of New York; especially when that sunset and accompanying wedding are so beautifully captured by Mademoiselle Fiona. It’s one breathtaking image after another showcasing a pastel infused shindig with lovely florals by SPINA and a Tribeca Rooftop backdrop that dreams are made of. From the Bride… Thinking back on June 10th, 2012, always makes my heart smile. It was truly a perfect wedding and the perfect day for us. It wasn’t perfect because everything went according to plan — in fact, there were quite a lot of hiccups along the way. But the day turned out perfectly because everyone had so much fun, and it was the happiest day for Tony and me. The entire day was relaxed and comfortable — from eating deli sandwiches on the floor with the wedding party before the wedding to running down the stairs with Tony as Mr. and Mrs. Chow, Tony and I were able to enjoy every second of our day.
Before the wedding, Tony and I had our “first look” on cobblestone streets — and after that, we just walked around Tribeca (and got black tar all over on my dress!) while our most talented photographer, Fiona, took photos. Just as we were wrapping up the outdoor portraits, the skies turned completely gray and raindrops started to fall! Somehow, the sky cleared up right before the ceremony and held onto the rain until after the cocktail hour… I am still amazed and extremely thankful for the beautiful sunset we had on the roof! The night flew by as expected — and I have to say my favorite part of my wedding day was being able to see, hug, and do crazy dances with my favorite people! Tony always says it’s a shame that only during weddings can families and friends from all over the world get together and celebrate — but we are SO thankful to have our day to celebrate with everyone we love (in the most beautiful dress I own!)
As for the wedding planning process… let’s just say that you CAN begin your first year of law school AND plan a wedding that rocks! Whenever I was too stressed out about school to plan the wedding, Tony took over and reassured me that every little detail would be taken care of (thankfully, Tony is a film producer and was great with the vendors, who were all incredible to work with). I am so happy to have these beautiful photos to remind us of every little detail and emotion of the day!
