We might sound like a broken record, but we love the Viceroy Palm Springs. Borderline obsessed kind of love. Because not only does it provide an oh-so-stylish backdrop, but it also seems to attract some of the most hip couples in the land. And when you add the talented work of Artisan Event Floral Décor, LLC to all the prettiness, and have Christine Arnold Photography capture all the glam – well, my loves, you have a winner. See it all here!
From Artisan Event Floral Décor, LLC… Jane and Rod reside in Canada and both lead very busy lives, so when they came to see us a year before their wedding, they had a few ideas of what they wanted but really gave us free rein with the décor. They knew they wanted to go with the inherent Viceroy colors: yellow, white and black. We decided to add a desert twist by incorporating pops of orange.
Rod wanted a Sofreh to honor his Persian heritage; the only request was that it be Viceroy in style. We had a blast creating the contemporary Sofreh in colors of white, yellow and splashes of orange! Yellow, bejeweled ostrich eggs, clean white containers and cake stands, white crystal candelabras and a stylized mirror. The Sofreh was completed with yellow and orange tea roses paved in staggered white finials, as well as all the essential organic elements all set under the gazebo on the Regency Lawn. The scene was framed with the traditional Viceroy urns filled with mounded white hydrangea, orange and yellow tea roses. A stylized rose petal walkway of white and yellow petals completed the setting with the stunning San Jacinto Mountains as the backdrop.
Guests moved over to the Presidio for cocktails where Viceroy yellow chairs and tables were set around the pool. Guests found their place cards on silver picks springing from a stylized box filled with a pave of yellow carnations. A black and white striped drape framed the entrance to dinner. The Presidio Lawn was transformed for a reception under the stars complete with suspended white crystal chandeliers. Tables adorned with black and white striped runners, white Moroccan lanterns and finials filled with orange tea roses created a landscape down the center of the table. Early on Jane had mentioned a fondness for elephants — we tucked that away and surprised the happy couple with some amazing white ceramic elephants! After dinner, Jane and Rod cut the stylish yellow and white cake, and the party moved into the Ballroom with DJ Oscar. The music was an eclectic mix of modern hits and traditional Persian sounds — what a blast! An amazing wedding with classic Palm Springs style.
