Prince Edward County Wedding from Patti Miller Photography
Just give me some peonies and a good barn (a darn good barn, might I add), and I'm sold no matter what. And these amazing images from Patti Miller Photography at The Mill House have done nothing short of take my breath away when capturing the incredibly gorgeous floral arbor at the wedding altar created by the father of the bride and all of the other oh-so-adorable elements of this fete done by the hands of dear friends and family. This wedding is the perfect blend of polished and rustic and has me completely swept up in all of its loveliness. You can see the full wedding, right here.

From the Bride... Four years ago, I first met Michael at a friend's wedding event and knew immediately I had met someone special. After a few months of dating, we moved across the country to Vancouver, British Columbia, and after a beautiful wedding proposal in magnificent Whistler, B.C., my own wedding journey was about to begin.
With a soon to be sister-in-law who has a passion for wedding planning and a creative eye, I knew this wedding was not one that would soon be forgotten. Elegant and classy were the words I used to describe how I wanted the wedding day to be remembered. Starting with my mother-in-law’s flower of choice, the peony, and expanding to crystal candle vases and chandeliers hung above the tables, the venue was more breathtaking then I could have ever imagined. (As captured by our fantastic photographer Patti Miller). A few of my favouite DIY touches that were incorporated into our special day were the floral arbor displayed for the ceremony, which was created by my father, and the signs made from old barn board painted from local artist and family member, Angela McQuaid. The burlap curtains were perfect to create the elegant feel we were hoping to achieve.
Our fabulous venue, The Mill House, gave us a great canvas to create our magical day, and it couldn’t have been done without the help from the Vader family for allowing us to use their beautiful estate. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day and even embraced some early showers for good luck that vanished moments before our ceremony. The day was an absolute dream come true, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped us start our adventure into married life as Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson.
