Virgil Bunao takes the kind of pictures that we could stare at all live long day. Pictures full of sweet sentiment and wildly beautiful views. Pictures so timeless they’ll be just as beautiful 50 years from now as they are right this moment. And most of all, they are pictures that capture that crazy adorable love between a Bride and Groom. And that is precisely why we want to print every single one of these babies out and slap em on our walls. See them all right here.
From Virgil Bunao Fine Art Weddings… The soft colors of the attire and the gentle textures of the landscape really evoked feelings of the South in this wedding, and the affair was a truly down-home event with more than a touch of class. There was an old Chevy truck, a rowboat, and the exposed beams of the reception barn highlighted the woodsy elements of the event, which included burlap, feathers, twine, birds, nests, moss and tree slices. Peach chutney, pickled okra and other preserved treats were homemade by the bride as favors, wrapped in burlap and lovingly labeled in her signature calligraphy style.
The bride and her mother have a very close relationship, as made evident by their collaboration on this wedding together. The bride incorporated as many elements of her mother’s wedding as possible as a sort of “live heirloom.” For instance, the bride had her invitations printed by the very same company her mom used back in the ’70s, and the same man who played the organ at her mother’s wedding played at Anna Louise and Hunter’s. Even more fabulous, her mother’s INCREDIBLE, flowy wedding dress fit Anna Louise perfectly (well, after a few alterations), and she changed into it after her first dance.
