I had to limit myself when it came to showing off this little flower girl. She is cute as the sweetest button, but I didn’t want her to steal the show, because OH what a show it is. A classic beauty in Carmel, captured brilliantly by Jen Rodriguez Photography, it is style and chic in every image. AND this bride just so happened to spend her creative hours on SMP during the planning process, so we absolutely love her. Obvi. Please, please promise me you’ll visit the gallery where there is so much gorgeous (including lots of Flower Girl eye candy) you won’t know what to do with yourself.

We both grew up in Clovis, CA attending different high schools. We met through mutual friends after high school and were friends for a year before dating. When I graduated Fresno State Anthony and I moved to the Monterey area for work and my extended family live in the Monterey area. After dating for 2 ½ years, Anthony proposed to me.
He planned a picnic lunch at one of our favorite spots up on the hill of Carmel beach. He had packed a lunch and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc (something Anthony doesn’t drink often but is my favorite). Anthony started drinking his wine very fast and I knew he must be pretty nervous. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I cried and said yes. That night we celebrated by going to our favorite restaurant Casanovas. Casanovas was the very first restaurant we went to when visiting the Monterey area before moving here.
When we started thinking about a wedding we knew one thing for sure that we wanted most if not all of our family to help celebrate our special day. We both have large families but knew that if we were going to have a wedding that family was a must. We planned for over a year to have a wonderful wedding at Mission Ranch in Carmel CA. The ranch theme and the gorgeous background was the perfect fit. I chose the color grey for the bridesmaids dresses and the neutral and blush color flowers to create a simple but classic look. I choose my lace dress and cathedral veil trying to achieve more of the vintage classic look. My uncle performed the ceremony and Anthony and I wrote our own vows making the day even more special and personal to us. Overall our wedding was exactly what we wanted it to be about, our love and the people that mean the world to us, our family and close friends!
