As much as we are wedding junkies, a good engagement session can make our afternoon just as happy. Aside from the big day, there aren't many opportunities to celebrate your love in front of the camera so we say, when those times come around - you better flaunt it. We wanted to create an engagement shoot that truly expressed our love, and captured who we are as a couple. Paramount Ranch was the perfect backdrop and had such versatile scenery for our three looks.
Ram and I are such home bodies, and one of our favorite things to do on the weekend is go flea market shopping in search of new finds for the little home we’ve created together.
Almost every piece of furniture we own has been a labor of love…whether we searched for weeks to find the perfect little vintage coffee table…or found something on the side of the street and had it refurbished.
My vision was to create a living room scene with our furniture in the middle of an open field so there were aspects of nature fused with pieces from our home.
Jason Rhee, our wedding planner/event stylist/best-friend extraordinaire helped make our vision a reality. As an event stylist, Jason is flawless and pays attention to every single detail. As one of our very best friends, we knew we could trust him with our vision and that it would be nothing less than perfect. We pretty much loaded our car with all the furniture and Jason took it from there!
Our photographers, Allie and Brian Callaway, were an absolute dream to work with. They immediately made us feel at ease and we instantly “clicked”. The best thing was, they were just as excited as we were to be shooting our engagement pics! I felt like they were long lost friends that we were just catching up with for the day. There are many photographers in the world, but Allie and Brian are true artists. Our engagement photos were everything we could have ever dreamed of. Our hope is that through these photos, you will see the love we feel for each other every day.
