Vail Wedding from IN Photography + Frosted Pink Weddings + Swank Stems
This wedding is proof that when your big day is filled with sweet love and affection, the right vendors are able to harness that adoration into an affair that is as lovely as the look in the grooms eye the first time he sees his bride. Swank Stems - Fine Floral Fasion, LLC put together a floral design that is as gorgeous as the bride, Frosted Pink Weddings coordinated a soiree that is as smile-enducing and the groom, and IN Photography had their seasoned cameras ready to capture it all - and to put it all in a pretty gallery with smiles for miles!
The proposal took place on a weekend trip to the Lodge at Cordillera. Right before dinner on Saturday, Ryan got down on one knee in the room. After I said yes, a horse drawn sled took us to the restaurant in the snow while we drank champagne and called our family and friends.
I carried elegant, hand-tied bouquet with green trick dianthus, white dahlias, ivory calla lilies, chocolate fiddle ferns, green berzilia berries, green hydrangea, ivory ranunculus, cream hypericum berries, ivory garden roses, and green hanging amaranthus tied with twine.
Our favorite detail of the wedding was our specialty cocktail was named "The Dreamboat," which is a nickname my family has called Ryan for years.There were four passed appetizers, a shell fish station (crab and shrimp) and a vegetable crudite display. The dinner included a first course of tangled greens with gala apples, crispy sweet potatoes and truffle vinaigrette and the main course was a duo of beef tenderloin and scallops.
Our wedding was such an out of body experience. Everyone I cared about in the world was in one room and flew all the way for us. It was the happiest day of my life. The cocktail hour was the most picturesque location. The beautifully decorated lawn and strolling saxophonists with the backdrop of the green mountains was unreal.
My advice for other Brides-To-Be is don't do anything you don't want to do. There are lots of traditions and expectations you have to think about when planning a wedding. Ultimately, the day is about you and your husband, so make it about what you want first and foremost.
