We’re taking a quick break from our featured Ireland shoot to soak up a bit more gorgeousness from our Nordstrom series. So as you know, all week we’ve been devouring The Nordstrom Wedding Suite with one gorgeous style offering after another. But today is different. Today, my friends, is my moment. My Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn or Carrie Bradshaw moment. It’s Hollywood Glam day and it’s bar none my favorite look (although tomorrow’s is quite close). The one that made me turn from a shy, self conscious blogger pretending to be a model to an I-can-totally-rock-this-look kind of girl. Which is exactly what it feels like when you find…the one.This particular dress, with its pearl and sequin cap sleeve perfection, did something magical for this here blogger and I honestly can’t. stop. smiling.
So lets talk gown for a minute. Close your eyes and imagine heaven. That would be this dress, Roses by Reem Acra’s lovely Laurel masterpiece (#R104). Layers of airy tulle, a figure hugging, signature knotted sweetheart bodice that screams chic and oh yes, the sequin and pearl cap sleeve goodness that slimmed and shaped my arms in the best possible way. It’s wedding gown genius and I got to spend nearly an hour twirling and whirling in it until my heart’s content.
As for styling…it was classic fabulous. My new favorite genre. A stunner of a birdcage veil that they literally had to pry out of my hands before I left, beautiful drop earrings, elegantly mismatched bangles and a steal-worthy pair of stems. All carefully selected at the hands of my personal (free) stylist. Yep, star for a day status.
