Anais and James wanted their wedding to be comfortable, fun and joyous day where everyone could feel the amount of love between them. Family and friends traveled to the wedding from as far away as Washington and Canada. The bride used her teacher skills to create many DIY items that were used as décor. From invitations to straw flags, personalized items were all over this event. The wedding took place at The Knight’s Loft on Bayshore, located in Miami. The beautiful hardwood floors set a comfortable atmosphere for the ceremony. Nephews of the groom walked before the bride with a cute sign that read “Here Comes the Bride” (for the recession, they flipped it, and it read “Just Married.” The bride wore a lacy trumpet-style dress, while bridesmaids wore off-the-shoulder, navy blue dresses. Groomsmen welcomed guests with black and blue converse — the groom’s idea. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the bridal party took some amazing pictures just outside of the building. The gray building was a great backdrop. The bride and groom also took some shots on the water.
Dinner took place in the dining room of the Knight’s Loft on Bayshore. The modern loft space was filled with purple lighting that created an elegant vibe during dinner. After dinner, guests went straight to the dance floor. Most guests danced the night away in flip-flops provided by the bride and groom. During breaks from dancing, most guests took part of the super-fun, faux photo booth. Props included hats, frames, and chalk board signs. The bride even created ties, lips and mustaches on sticks to allow guests to take some funny photos. As the party wrapped up, guests lit sparklers and created an arch for the bride and groom to exit through. It the type of exit that all brides and grooms deserve!
