From Melissa Brandman... Rebekah and Jason's creativity and vision stretched far beyond their budget to create a fun, quirky and deeply personal wedding day. With the help of family and friends, the couple's wedding is full of DIY details, including: the beautiful blue and yellow invitations, the bride's necklace the clever word games place mats with crayon place cards for each guest, the quilt squares given to guests to create a wedding quilt with guests' drawings and advice for the couple, the sign directing guests to the DIY photo booth and post-wedding games of croquet and horseshoes, the "soda and hard cider" sign behind the bar, the family tree of photos and the vintage dessert bar featuring mini berry pies (the groom's favorite).
Rebekah and Jason made sure their wedding was a true reflection of their hallmark unconventional style and taste. When it came time to select her wedding dress, Rebekah made a special trip from southern California to Strut Bridal Salon in Arizona, which caters to brides with curves. The groom loves food, so he chose some of his favorite BBQ recipes to serve wedding guests, including jalapeno mac and cheese. This couple is cheeky and fun, as evidenced by Jason's blue and yellow wedding sneakers and his cuff links that say "I love you more than bacon." Rebekah and Jason's wedding was truly one of a kind — there was even a solar eclipse that afternoon!
