Nighttime ceremonies are maybe the most romantic thing on Earth. This couple threw your standard sequence of events out the door and decided to wine and dine their guests amidst lawn games and refreshing Pimm’s Cups pre-ceremony followed by candlelit “I Do’s” and then a whole lot of dancing. Mel Barlow + Kate Diago of Mel & Co. snapped all the festivities, one Great Gatsby-esque moment at a time. See them all here.
From Mel & Co.… Jesse and Andrea met in college. Andrea was born and raised in England, and Jesse was born in New York and raised in Connecticut. Their wedding was a celebration and reunion of family and friends from around the world. Loved ones traveled from Mexico, India, Israel and all over the states. They were married on a private estate on the Hudson River in upstate New York and had a beautiful Jewish ceremony by candlelight under a large beech tree. It was an intimate garden party with details reminiscent of the Great Gatsby era. Guests were greeted with Pimm’s Cups and tea sandwiches and played lawn games alongside the bride and groom before the ceremony began. In lieu of guest favors, the bride and groom donated to the non-profit Puppies Behind Bars. People danced late into the night, and a rain storm started just as the last guest said goodnight.
