Wakefield Wedding at Le Belvedere by Rowell Photography
You may remember this adorable couple from their sweet engagement shoot, and now they're back for their prettiest-in-pink Quèbec wedding! Chock full of details and etherial as can be, Rowell Photography had the pleasure of capturing every emotional moment from this fete held at Le Belvedere. The dreaminess continues in the full gallery!
From Rowell Photography... A few weeks ago we traveled to Wakefield, Quebec, for Melissa and Adam’s wedding at Le Belvedere. Le Belvedere is a stunning, new wedding venue perched high above the town of Wakefield. The view from the ceremony location is one of the best we have photographed in the Gatineau/Ottawa area. You can see for miles. Melissa and Adam put a lot of work into their wedding details. Melissa designed the entire thing in soft pinks and created a gorgeous candy table, and Adam created all the rustic details, such as the small tree logs that adorned each reception table number. He even hand made the box you will see in the ceremony photos, which holds two love letters and a bottle a wine that they will open on their first anniversary. Ryan and I set up a photo booth with a matching pink backdrop at the reception with props for guests to have fun photos taken in.
From the Bride... We wanted to have a wedding that felt like it was our own, so we put a lot of work and effort into a lot of the decor. To bring a touch of the outdoors into the hall, Adam cut a tree trunk into pieces, and I painted table numbers on them. We used cork to hold up the guest names, and on each name, we put their meaning on the cards. The girls found their dresses at Lord and Taylor made by BCBG and their shoes were bought at multiple places. The dress I wore was bought from Sinders Bridal salon in Carlton Place. My shoes were found at Winners by Franco Sarto. The headpiece and bracelet were bought off of Etsy. We bought all the flowers from Costco and arranged them ourselves. This was a major undertaking — we picked them up the Friday before the wedding and made all the bouquets and centerpieces. All of the centerpieces were things we already had or bought from Home Sense. Adam made the wine box and all signs. We made the sweets and popcorn bar using things from Home Sense, IKEA and items we already had around the house. The cake topper is the same one used on my parents' wedding cake.
