Let’s face it, Brooklyn is the new happening place to keep a pulse on all things fresh, just like this wedding by Aaron & Samantha Photography. Not only does the couple’s venue, Bubby’s, scream “cool,” but every element of this day was made with love from the handwritten vows to pretty paper products. Hit up the full gallery for more.

From the Bride… Jon and I met on a rooftop in Brooklyn. One year later, he proposed on that same rooftop. It seemed only appropriate that we get married in the city that had been the backdrop to our love story. We wanted our wedding to feel like “us,” so we did almost everything ourselves. We had a close friend officiate the ceremony, and we wrote our own vows. I designed and printed our paper products by hand — invitations, programs, menus and place cards. We saved glass jars all throughout the year and wrapped lace around them to create our candle centerpieces. We also managed to not spend a dime on flowers! Instead of bouquets, the bridesmaids carried clutch bags, and instead of boutonnieres, the men wore custom lapel pins. I handmade my bouquet using fabric and lace flowers (all pinned to a wire whisk!). As much fun as we had planning, the best part of the whole wedding weekend was being surrounded by so many friends and family who love us!
