San Francisco Wedding by Waterlily Pond Floral and Event Design Studio
If this San Francisco wedding isn't the definition of elegance, I just don't know what is! The Bentley Reserve was the perfect venue for this classic fête, and the 20-foot vertical installation of glass globes, white orchids and crystals by Waterlily Pond Floral and Event Design Studio is just too WOW for words! I couldn't forget to mention the bride's out-of-this-world gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown which was the icing on the cake...there's even more pretty to be seen by Tanja Lippert Photography right here!
From Waterlily Pond Floral and Event Design Studio... Anahita and Gavin wanted to create a very elegant and modern city celebration. Their wedding was a multicultural event incorporating elements of Persian culture. The bride made a dramatic entrance, appearing on the second floor landing on the arm of her father. As she walked down the grand staircase, a follow-spot was directed at her by the lighting crew from across the room. The wedding ceremony was done in two parts — a Persian Zoroastrian ceremony first, then a Western ceremony performed by a reverend. For the ceremony’s dramatic backdrop, Waterlily Pond designed a 20-foot tall vertical installation consisting of 500 glass globes with white orchids and crystals. We also used this as a backdrop for the head table at the reception.
While guests were enjoying the cocktail hour, the room was transformed for the reception with thousands of candles, all-white flowers and white tables with gold accents. Lighting changed to add dramatic pink floral patterns on the ceiling and the walls. The focal point of the reception was a round dessert buffet with a composition of white branches, flowers and candles, featuring a selection of traditional Persian sweets. Led by Persian dancers in ethnic costumes, the couple entered the reception from the top of the grand staircase and immediately burst into the first dance. All of the guests soon joined them on the dance floor for an energetic start to a night of dancing, music and heart-warming toasts.
