From Gypsy Floral and Events… The designers at Gypsy appreciate the nomadic, bohemian lifestyle and reflect this through design and innovative events such as The Gypsy Picnic. Conceived out of a need to help their clients stay connected during the wedding planning process, Gypsy creates memories combining nostalgia and vintage items from the past and curates them in a romantic picnic for two. Crocheted linens, hand-stitched fabrics collected by grandmothers, vintage vases and antique china compose the mise-en-scène for this delightful photo shoot. For this experience, ambiance was key, so we started with a feeling and worked to create an intimate and fun outing for a local couple. Loot Vintage Rentals provided vintage monogrammed sheets, quilts, button cushions, doily globes and an Aztec blanket. We served a quintessential southern meal from Lucy’s Fried Chicken, with collard greens and roasted corn all placed on bone china and sterling silver. Adding to the mystique, the couple playfully read each others’ fortunes with tarot cards, hoping to catch a glimpse of their adventure-filled future. One thing is certain — the cards foretold a story of long life, love and happiness.
Nestled beneath the undulating branches of an live oak tree, the pup tent made the perfect place to sneak away for a kiss. Photographer Carli Keine created a set of ethereal sunset photographs tinged with romance and saturated with color. It was a perfect picnic to spark a little romance before the couple’s wedding.
