From Eventity Inc.… Melanie and Michael were a down to earth couple, so it only made sense that their color palette was a reflection of their personalities. Their choices of dusty earth tones helped complement the wedding venue, Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, as well as encompass a romantic spring theme. In addition to the spring theme, the couple wanted to integrate a sense of greenery. They decided to give their guests a planet conscious succulent in a terra cotta pot — it was a great personal touch and a gift guests could enjoy for years to come. The two main colors Melanie and Michael incorporated throughout their wedding were mint green and the blush peach. As you can see, the mint green emerged in the floral decor, as well as in the nail color of both Melanie and her bridesmaids. The peach appeared in the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses and the adorable ties that Michael and his groomsmen wore. In addition, it was the main color that the florist, Kiyoko of Cherry Blossom Floral Designs, used throughout the venue. Melanie and Michael were truly picturesque newlyweds in their beautifully-designed spring wedding.
From the Bride… After my husband Mike and I got engaged on Christmas Day 2010, we were very excited to get started on planning our wedding. We knew we wanted to have an outdoor garden wedding and were having trouble figuring out where to start looking. On a suggestion from my mom, we visited the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe in late March 2011. We immediately knew that we had found where we were going to be married – this place has so much character and is so beautiful and inspiring, we didn’t even look at another venue. We booked our wedding day for April 14, 2012. Over the next few months we researched and researched different vendors and collected pictures and ideas. I found the most perfect dress and we decided on our colors – peach and mint green. By mid-December, we were frantic – between trying to fit planning a wedding into our two very busy work schedules and basically not having a clue what we were doing, we knew that we needed help!
We found Jenn and Monica from Eventity, and everything really took off from there. With their care and guidance, Jenn and Monica we were able to help us find and book all of our wonderful vendors. Everyone we met with completely understood what we wanted and absolutely delivered above and beyond. Mike and I took on various DIY projects — we framed over 30 pictures that are very special to us to place throughout the venue, and we made the invitations, menus, succulent favors and a few other details here and there. After over a year of all different kinds of stress, worries, fear and excitement, Mike and I were rewarded by having all of our wonderful family and friends together, enjoying each other and celebrating our love and our new life. It could not have been a more beautiful and perfect day for us two young, passionate, head-over-heels-in-love, best friends to become husband and wife.
