Cornerstone Sonoma Wedding by JennaBeth Photography
Breathtaking views, world famous wineries and beautiful inspiration every which way you turn... it's no wonder we've seen our fair share of fabulous weddings coming straight from the land of gorgeous, aka, Sonoma. And this darling Cornerstone Sonoma wedding has taken everything we love about our fave CA paradise and infused it with a Midwestern goodness that will knock you off your feet. It's mason jars meets lawn games meets glorious images by JennaBeth Photography. Click here for so much more.
From JennaBeth Photography... I couldn't have been happier when Tim and Kim (I know, ironic that their names rhyme — you know it was meant to be!) asked me to be their photographer. I met Tim about 10 years ago when I first moved to San Francisco, and then I met Kim a few years later when they started dating. I loved them from the start together — they were perfect for one another. The day was filled with love and details! It felt like a Midwest country wedding in Napa. Guests drank out of mason jars, ate deviled eggs as an appetizer and even played bocce ball and corn hole! As a photographer, I especially loved all the art installations at Cornerstone Gardens, and we had fun playing in them and getting creative! I also loved how the wedding took place on one property, but it felt totally different from one spot to the next. The getting ready location was in this cute little ranch house, the ceremony was on the back lawn with a pond, dinner was in a beautiful tent and dancing was in a barn! It was a very special, beautiful day, and I was honored to capture it!
From the Bride... As we were looking for venues, we knew we wanted a spot that blended Bay Area style with a bit of the Midwest, where we both grew up. Cornerstone wound up being the perfect combination of both — a very unique wine country experience, with a laid-back atmosphere and a beautiful barn for celebrating. When planned the wedding, it was really important for us to keep our guests in mind and make the day as much about them as it was for us. Our goal was to keep the mood light and fun. Though I only gave Tim two jobs (buy the booze and book the transportation), he was always ready to help out with any task. With Tim's help, my mother's incredible creativity and our event planner's expertise, I knew we were going to have a truly special day.
Saturday started with mimosas with my bridesmaids and mom and a limo ride up to Sonoma. It was a perfect September day; we were treated to clear blue skies and temperatures in the low 80s. We spent the day getting ready and catching up on lost time, taking pictures and enjoying each others' company. The ceremony began around 5:00. We were overjoyed to have my mom's cousin officiate the ceremony. The words he spoke were so personal, and meaningful and it made the day so much more special. During cocktail hour, our guests played bocce ball and bean bag toss and noshed on good old comfort food. Dinner was held under the tent with lots of laughter and some great speeches. Afterwards, we danced the night away in the barn, and guests were also able to enjoy the grass as well as relax by the fire pit. All in all, we couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect day!
