Bohemian Inspired Photo Shoot by Teeki, Photography by Nadean, Chanele Rose Flowers + Makeup by Megan
There's really nothing more romantic and beautiful than a bohemian bride so when we saw this photo shoot captured by Photography by Nadean we did our little happy dance! From Teeki... A love of all things boho this was the basis for the shoot — natural hues with little pops of earthy tones and bright colour, rustic textures and raw elements are key to planning a picture-perfect bohemian wedding. Add in some glamorous boho-styled gowns, headpieces that can sit alongside a veil or as standalone pieces, natural makeup, soft tousled hair, gorgeous jewels and some stunning blooms, and you have total bomenian bliss, love and romance. Teeki is always driven to create photo shoots that inspire brides to be true to their style and personality. Your big day is about the happy couple and your styling should reflect that.
From Chanele Rose Flowers... For the orange bouquet, I used a texture overdose of shabby chic-styled flowers with celosia, roses, succulents, dahlias, glorisa lilies with hypericum berries and dusty miller foliage, and the stem was wrapped with a contrasting eclectic blue satin ribbon. The purple bouquet included sweet william, orange sunset roses, teal-coloured hydrangeas and gloriosa lilies. I chose these flowers in particular because I loved the bright combination and the various textures when combined together. The blue bouquet included hydrangeas, antique roses and atiko roses with kale and was wound with dodda vine. For something a little different we replaced a bouquet with a cane heart for one of the looks and a mason jar for the another — to show that you dont have to go with a traditional bouquet, especially if your going for the bohemian style. For the heart and the mason jar I used a mix of brunei, tea tree, kangaroo paw and dodda vine for a more rustic look with added hessian and twin features. The mini pink bouquet included succulent flowers, pastel pink roses and lisianthus made into a spiral effect. All of these bouquets are a little unique and work with bohemian styling. To me bohemian styling is a little out of the ordinary and a mix of shabby chic yet understated effectiveness at the same time.
From Photography by Nadean... For any wedding location shoot, I love it when I use nature as a backdrop. This kind of photo shoot definitely showcases what kind of photography you can achieve for your wedding day if you let nature take centre stage. The styling concept created by Teeki Designs incorporated bohemian elegance in a natural setting. With the bohemian theme in mind, the direction I wanted to take was something fun, fresh and whimsical. I was thrilled to see the results when it all came together. My favourite type of light to shoot in is backlit. I love the way it separates the foreground from the background and the glow it creates around the models' hair. My favourite time of day is that two hour period just before sunset, so when you combine the two together, it’s magic! When doing a shoot like this, it is always risky to try and fit it all in between this time frame, however as you can see the results are definitely worth it. Nothing beats that golden light. The team was amazing, and I enjoyed every minute working with them. A huge thank you to Amy of Teeki Designs for pulling it all together.
