Atlanta Wedding at Summerour Studio by Twin Hearts Photography

Warning: the following Twin Hearts Photography images may cause severe and urgent popsicle hunger pangs. It also may cause pangs of wedding envy, because this Summerour Studio soiree has a serious violet vibe via Flowers by Patrick that will have you second guessing your color choice, and so many sweet ways missing loved ones were honored, you’ll wish you had thought of them yourself. What better way to beat the heatwave than looking at this King of Pops punctuated fiesta? There isn’t one, so cool off here with the rest of the pretty party!

From the Bride… The morning after Matt proposed, he played Bowerbirds’ “Northern Lights” for me, and with. that we had our theme — that we do not need perfection, just each other. With that in mind, we sought to build a day that showed our favorite people what was truly “us” — a Southern girl who loves to dance, a Midwestern boy (via Texas) who loves to eat and go to concerts, and how they just happened to love each other. While we were blessed with friends who came from all over the world — including crossing two oceans —  we tried to include those not able to attend. My great-grandmother’s candelabras stood at the altar in memory of our grandparents who had passed away, and the boys wore pins in honor of one of Matt’s groomsmen currently serving with the Army Rangers. We also wore pieces of jewelry from my mother’s parents, whose health kept them away. I chose my grandmother’s brooch and earrings, while Matt sported my grandfather’s cufflinks — the same ones he wore on their own wedding day 60 years ago. If I were to list highlights of the day, it would be Matt’s eyes when we first saw each other, the doors of the church opening to the swell of the organ, the commitment of the people on the dance floor (including the most epic dance competition of.all.time.), and King of Pops to finish off the night. It was magical.
