From Sandra Åberg Photography... It all started in university when this lovely couple met each other — or actually, it started even before that in Egypt, where they both lived at separate times, not knowing they had friends in common in Egypt who, eight years later, would come to their wedding in Turks and Caicos. They both traveled and lived around the world until they ended up at a university in Virginia where they finally met and found out how much they had in common. Eight years later, they now live in New York and have found their home together. In April 2012, they invited all their friends and family from around the world to meet them in Turks and Caicos for a wedding beyond imaginable. A three-day long party on the beach, with scuba diving, sunbathing, dinners and dancing. Unlike other weddings I have seen or been to, it was not stiff or formal even though the location was fancy. Its was a real and honest couple surrounded by great people. and they had so much fun. The wedding was at the Gansevoort, a lovely setting perfect for a destination wedding. Planning a wedding far away from home was not as easy as they thought, but with some trips to the island, some good friends and luck it all came together.
