Toronto Wedding at the Miller Lash House by Studio 2000
It may be a holiday down here at SMP HQ, but we just couldn't leave our neighbors up north hanging today! So before we head off for parades and BBQ's, we wanted to leave you with a pretty as can be wedding by Studio 2000 that is worthy of a celebration all on its own. It's downright gorgeous, and more than enough to hold you over until we meet you right back here tomorrow! You can see the whole shebang right here!
From the Bride... Our wedding day was more amazing than we ever could have imagined. From start to finish, it was us. And that's exactly what we wanted. A day that was simple, elegant and felt like our own. I am a graphic designer by trade and LOVE all things DIY (and all things buttons!), so we had a simple outdoor wedding with a very handmade twist to it. Everything, from our invitations to our seating chart, was hand-made/designed. Even the strawberry jam that we gave as our take-away was home-made by our moms (thanks again, moms!). We put a lot of thought into our colour scheme and decor, and we were so pleased to see it all come together the way it did. Red accents were a big part of our day, as I wore red shoes on my very first date with Gaston and wanted to do the same on our day. And my dad's red 1966 Dodge Charger even made an appearance to tie it all together!
It was a gorgeous summer day at a beautiful venue, and everything went just perfectly. But the most memorable part of the day was when Gaston did a surprise performance for me with his brother and my brother as his support. It was his first time EVER singing in public, and I will never forget it. I still well up every time I hear the song: "Into Your Arms" by The Lemonheads.
The Miller Lash House was the perfect backdrop to our perfect wedding day, and we couldn't be happier. It was an unforgettable day and our photographers did an amazing job of capturing every moment.
