Just two short years after their very first date, this adorable couple got married at the bride’s gorgeous synagogue. And can I just say that each and every detail is simply stunning. Her dress is all sorts of poufy awesomeness and I’ve even secretly pictured myself doing little twirls in it…Sara Wight Photography captured their day perfectly and there’s even more pretty right here in the full gallery.
From the Couple … We were set up by a close mutual friend — one of Steve’s college roommates and Elisheva’s friends from high school — right after Elisheva moved back home to New York City. Our first date was on February 20, so we decided that it was only appropriate for us to get married on the weekend of our two year anniversary. It was important to us that our wedding be intimate, reflect our shared values and be authentically us. We were determined to hire vendors that would provide excellent service and who we could trust to use their incredible judgment to execute our vision. It is this last aspect that made working with all our vendors such a pleasure. We decided to get married at Elisheva’s synagogue on the Upper West Side, which we later learned was also Steve’s great-grandfather’s temple back in the day. We asked our mutual friend, a rabbinical student, who was also one of Steve’s college roommates and a friend of Elisheva’s from childhood, to perform the wedding alongside Elisheva’s summer camp counselor, a cantorial soloist and a close friend. We found Sara Wight, our incredible photographer, through none other than Style Me Pretty and instantly clicked with her. Judy Marlow from Simply Divine was the genius behind the weekend’s incredible meals and the most amazing wedding cake that we have ever had. Attitude, the band, was incredible, and the flowers and decor by Surroundings were stunning. Basically, our wedding exceeded our wildest dreams and belied the relatively little planning that we did. We attribute the picture perfection to our incredible vendors!
