From the Bride... Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be: beautiful, relaxed and fun. We knew immediately that we would have a traditional Catholic wedding mass and that we wanted to have our reception at Dominick's Restaurant in West Hollywood. The restaurant's open-air patio is gorgeous and romantic, so our additions were just icing on the cake! We decided on a simple color palette (apricot, cream, and black) and a rustic vibe. My husband and I canned countless batches of homemade apricot jam (some with vanilla, others with jalapeno) to serve as favors for the guests. Another highlight was our DIY Polaroid photo guestbook. My favorite memory of the night, however, has to be my husband's surprise rap — who says hip-hop can't be romantic?

I have two pieces of advice for brides who are currently planning. First, take the time to interview several different vendors before making your selections. Everyone we worked with was incredible, and it felt great to be able to just relax and let them do their thing on the day of the wedding. Second, whenever the stress creeps in, just remind yourself what weddings are all about: celebrating love with friends and family. Take a deep breath, kiss your fiance, and start the next batch of jam!
