Orangeville Wedding at Hockley Valley Resort by Erin Leydon Photography + Vantage Events

When a wedding planner weds, you know it's going to be good. When the owner of a wedding planning company weds, you know its going to be fabulous. Fabulous it was when the owner of Vantage Events married her longtime tall-dark-and-handsome love during a cross cultural celebration at Hockley Valley Resort. You can see this blonde bombshell's Bollywood moves and the rest of Erin Leydon Photography's pretty pics in the full gallery!

From the Bride (Owner of Vantage Events)... As both a wedding planner and bride, it was difficult to narrow down all of the inspiration I had saved up during our eight years of dating! We originally wanted a small destination wedding, but instead, we took the idea and created a mini getaway for our guests at the Hockley Valley Resort. It was the first and only venue we looked at, and it was perfect. With the ceremony being on site, we were able to have an all-weekend party, starting with the rehearsal dinner and ending with a Sunday brunch.

The day was more than we could have imagined. We decided to do a first look session and photos before the ceremony, which was a great way for us to enjoy the day together and shake off our wedding jitters. With Sam's dad as our officiant, the ceremony was so heartfelt and special for us, as well as our guests. We decided to incorporate an Indian tradition called Milni, which is a ceremony where members from each family exchange garlands with one another. It is a way of displaying the two families welcoming each other and joining together, and it was one of my favourite memories of the whole day.

Since our reception was at the same location, we were able to enjoy cocktail hour with our guests and take some time to breathe. I had been stressing about our first dance that we had choreographed, so it was nice to have that time to calm down and prepare myself. We wanted to give our guests an experience of the Indian culture, so guests had a choice of Indian food as their main course, or just a taste during the late night buffet station. Sam and his mom busted out the moves to Jai Ho as their mother-son dance (which people went crazy over), and I learned some Bollywood moves and joined our guest dance performance as a surprise in the last half of the song. Even our guests got their Indian groove on during the dance later in the night. I loved how everyone came together and embraced both cultures — we couldn't have asked for anything more.
