The talents involved in this lovely engagement session aren't just good at what they do, they are sweet as can be too. Once they found out this adorable duo's engagement session was on the Bride-to-be's birthday, they decided to whip up a pretty surprise full of gorgeous blooms by Full Bloom Floral Design and sweet cakes by It's a Matter of Cake so Melanie Rebane Photography could capture all the prettiness produced. From Melanie Rebane Photography... The day of our scheduled engagement session was Evy's birthday. I didn't realize this until we were confirming details of our session with Brendan — it was the perfect opportunity to create a special surprise for Evy and treat her to an elegant gourmet picnic for their engagement session. I immediately went into stylist mode, met with my best people, and together, we created this lovely scene — delicious lemons and limes accented by a fresh, summery color palette of yellow tulips, roses and sweet-scented peonies. Clear crystal and mirrored surfaces brought a clean elegance and glamour to the setting, giving the feel of a sophisticated, catered picnic of gourmet goodies and wine. And what fancy picnic would be complete without cake? These beautiful mini cakes were the perfect accent and a lovely finish to a romantic afternoon.
Evy was totally blown away when she came upon the surprise scene, and they truly enjoyed having this special moment that spoiled them for a couple of hours. We prepared breads, cheeses and smoked salmon appetizers with lemon zest. It was as delicious as it was pretty. I can't wait for their wedding where the same team of vendors will come together to bring their wedding vision to life! Congratulations Brendan and Evy!
