Charleston Wedding at Middleton Place by Tiger Lily Weddings
There's garden weddings, and then there's this: A perfectly planned vintage garden wedding in which no detail was left behind. Tiger Lily Weddings worked with this gorgeous, fun loving couple and created a picture perfect day complete with vintage linens and simple floral arrangements. Patrick Hall Photography captured all the goodness and there's much more right here in the full gallery.
From Tiger Lily Weddings... As a wedding planner, it is always so refreshing to have a client who understands and loves the details. Katie was the epitome of that. On our first meeting, this beautiful girl opened up to me about her bohemian relaxed style and a desire for something unique and garden-like on her special day. I immediately had a vision of vintage floral linens mixed throughout the room and described this scene to Katie in hopes that she wouldn’t run for the door. To my surprise, she completely understood my vision for her wedding, and we began the process of making the details come to life. Katie really thought through the importance of the small, disconnected items and how to make them flow together to find the balance of something relaxed, yet formal and transitional from day to night. With Katie and Pavel in San Antonio, Texas, and the event in Charleston, we relied heavily on internet resources for a shared discovery of things we loved.
One of my favorite parts of the night was the music. With Pavel and his family originating from Cuba, and Katie’s family being from South Carolina, we wanted to represent both families equally in our ambience. We had an amazing Latin duo (Havana Son) for the first portion of the night and then a fun-loving DJ (DJ Wade) for the remainder of the evening. During an introduction of Havana Son by the groom’s father before the wedding, they discovered there had been a chance meeting 20 years before in a refugee camp and had not seen each other since. The feeling the room was like nothing I have ever experienced.
